One of the greatest and most influential Kabbalists in all of history is Rabbi Isaac Luria. His ideas not only crystallized and improved ancient Gnosticism, but also transformed all branches of Judaism forever. Luria was both an unmatched mystic and a renowned scholar. He developed new systems and cosmologies that transformed the Sephiroth (The Tree of Life) into a tool for transcendence that was adopted beyond Judaism by countless Occultists and alternative Christians. We discuss the remarkable life and legacy of 'The Lion', as Luria was called, including how it touched so many esoteric movements after him. We also take a voyage into the different streams of Kabbalah before and after Luria, up until today, and how they parallel the history of Gnosticism and the Gnostic ethos itself. Lastly, we discuss the schizophrenic nature of the Godhead in Mystic Judaism, and our sacred role in actually helping God find his sanity.
